Who is CCM?

The Chesapeake Children’s Museum (CCM) is dedicated to creating an environment of discovery about oneself, the peoples, the technologies, and the ecology of the Chesapeake Bay area for all of our children and for the child in all of us.

CCM began in 1992, providing hands on learning at community events for two years before find successive temporary homes at 2 schools and 2 shopping centers. The City of Annapolis has graciously provided a permanent home in one of its parks, at the former WYRE Radio Station building. The woodland park is bordered on one side by a creek which runs to the Chesapeake Bay. A footpath crosses through the park leading to a middle school, an arts center, and on to downtown Annapolis.

What is RED DAY ?

Introduced in 2009, RED Day, which stands for Renew, Energize and Donate, is Keller Williams Realty’s annual day of service. Each year on the second Thursday of May, associates spend the day away from their businesses serving worthy organizations and causes in their communities. RED Day is just another example of our commitment to each other and to the cities and towns where we live and work.

When is RED DAY 2017?

On May 11th, 2017, 100+ volunteers from the KWF of MD office will spend the day Renewing, Energizing and Donating their time to the total makeover of the Childrens’s Chesapeake Museum!

Scope of Work:

– Build/Organize New Museum Exhibits
– Outside/Ext. Wall: power wash & new ART/Painting
– Install/Build New Playground
– Organize Library
– Replenish & Clean Trails
– Build New Steps on the Trail
– Sculpture Garden: replace & rebuild
– New Carpet on interior steps
– Parking Lot grading
– Paint Interior Walls
